Landed but not there yet
So much for a nice morning to fky. We landed pretty much on time and now we are sitting on the tarmac waiting for our gate to clear. This is one aspect of flight ops and customer service I don't get, mostly the customer service side. We spend roughly as much time on the tarmac as our entire flight time. Two weeks in a row we are arriving late thanks to American Airlines incompetence!

To make friggin' matters worse, they say because the flight is late, there's another aircraft at our gate. Well, why can't we take one of the SEVERAL open ones? Why do we need THAT particular gate? Somehow, their inability to plan, becomes our inconvience. So in that 1 1/2 hours I was in the air in my nearly 3 hour late flight from MCI to ORD, did nobody at United stop to think that "gosh, these pepole are all coming in late and need to make connections, let me try and find them a gate so when they get here they can at least try to make their connections." NNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!! That would be too OBVIOUS! This, along with the whole concept that two people flying the exact same route pay different prices for their tickets escapes me. But, thats a different bitch, oh, I mean blog.
